21 DAY CHALLENGE - Day 6, December 19
My husband and I booked nothing for our last day in Hawaii, but had a vague notion of spending the day lying on the beach. Or surfing. We ended up doing both.
Though, lying in the warm sun didn’t really count as “warming up” as much as I would have liked it to have been. Moving and stretching the muscles and joints used in the activity helps prevents injuries, especially if it’s a new activity or you’ve been sedentary for a while.
My husband and I should have really thought about this when we decided to try out surfing. Seriously. Our shoulders and were so sore the next day: there was a considerable more amount of paddling involved than anticipated.
